One-Step Prop Firms (2026): Single-Phase Evaluations Compared

Eight prop firms confirm a one-step (single-phase) evaluation on their own pages: Take Profit Trader, Elite Trader Funding, Alpha Futures, Blue Guardian Futures, Traders Launch, My Funded Futures, The Futures Desk and FXIFY (checked on 31 Oct 2026). In a one-step evaluation you pass one phase with one profit target, then move to the funded stage. The first seven are futures firms; FXIFY is a forex firm.

Below, each firm's one-step wording is quoted from its own page, with the source linked and the main rules in a table.

What Is a One-Step Prop Firm Evaluation?

A one-step evaluation is a single test: you reach a profit target in a simulated account without breaking the risk rules, and you qualify for a funded account. There is no second phase with a new target. FXIFY puts it this way for its One Phase program: "traders need to complete only one evaluation phase to qualify for funding."

Five steps of a one-step prop firm evaluation: buy the evaluation, hit the profit target, stay inside the rules, meet the minimum days, get the funded account

A one-step evaluation has one profit target to hit before the funded stage.

One step does not mean instant. Elite Trader Funding says its 1-Step plan "is a single evaluation phase, but you are not funded right away." You still have to hit the target and meet a minimum number of trading days.

One-Step vs Two-Step vs Instant Funding

A one-step plan has one evaluation phase, a two-step plan has two, and an instant funding plan has none. FXIFY's Two Phase program, for example, says the trader "will need to pass two sets of assessments" before getting a funded account.

Comparison of one-step and two-step prop firm evaluations by number of phases, profit targets, path to the funded stage and what to check

One-step plans cut the evaluation to a single phase.

Model Evaluation phases Typical trade-off
One-step One Shorter path, one set of rules to pass
Two-step Two Longer path, a target in each phase
Instant or straight to funded None No test; you buy the funded account directly

If you want to skip the evaluation entirely, compare instant funding prop firms instead. For futures only, see our list of straight-to-funded futures prop firms.

1. Take Profit Trader

Take Profit Trader describes its whole model as one step. Its homepage says: "Take Profit Trader Is a ONE Step, No Nonsense Funding Company." Checked on 31 Oct 2026.

Take Profit Trader's comparison table lists 3 trading days to the PRO account and an end-of-day drawdown on the Test. Once you pass, the PRO account is simulated, and PRO+ is listed as live.

2. Elite Trader Funding (1-Step)

Elite Trader Funding calls its 1-Step plan "by far our most popular account type." Its FAQ answers whether 1-Step is a single phase: "1-Step is a single evaluation phase, but you are not funded right away." Checked on 31 Oct 2026.

Each 1-Step Evaluation has a profit target and a trailing drawdown, and you must trade at least 5 days. Passing unlocks an Elite Sim-Funded account, which Elite Trader Funding says is also simulated.

3. Alpha Futures

Alpha Futures runs one-step evaluations on three of its four plans. Its homepage says: "Alpha Futures offers one-step evaluations on Zero, Standard, and Advanced. Direct starts on a Qualified Account without evaluation." Checked on 31 Oct 2026.

The 50K Standard evaluation lists 2 minimum trading days, a $3,000 profit target and a $2,000 max drawdown. Alpha Futures says every plan uses an EOD trailing Maximum Loss Limit that stops trailing at the starting balance.

4. Blue Guardian Futures

Blue Guardian Futures uses a one-phase model for its evaluation accounts. Its help center says: "Rather than forcing traders through multiple phases, Blue Guardian Futures uses a one-phase evaluation system, allowing traders to qualify faster by reaching their required profit targets while remaining compliant with all account rules." Checked on 31 Oct 2026.

Blue Guardian Futures says all its accounts are a one-time purchase, with no monthly subscription and no activation fee after you pass. The introduction does not give the drawdown or minimum days, so read the plan page before you buy.

5. Traders Launch

Traders Launch states it plainly on its futures rules page: "One-step evaluation with no Phase 2". Checked on 31 Oct 2026.

The same page lists a minimum of 3 trading days, a 60-day maximum to pass, and a rule that your best day must be 40% or less of total profits. The drawdown is end of day, with no intraday trailing, and it locks at the starting balance.

6. My Funded Futures (Builder)

My Funded Futures labels the Builder evaluation stage "One phase" on its plan page. It also says: "Builder evaluations have a one-day minimum." Checked on 31 Oct 2026.

The Builder page lists a $3,000 profit target and a max drawdown of $1,500 or $2,000, with an EOD trailing drawdown and no activation fee. Passing moves you to a sim-funded Builder account.

8. FXIFY (One Phase)

FXIFY is a forex firm with a One Phase program. Its program page says: "This program comprises a single evaluation, meaning that traders need to complete only one evaluation phase to qualify for funding." Checked on 31 Oct 2026.

The One Phase page lists a 5 day minimum and a 6% trailing drawdown that locks at your starting balance once you reach 6% profit. FXIFY also sells Two Phase and Three Phase programs, so pick One Phase at checkout.

How to Choose a One-Step Prop Firm

Pick on the rules that end accounts, not on the number of phases. Every firm on this list has one phase, but the drawdown type, minimum days and consistency rules differ a lot.

  • Drawdown type: end-of-day and static drawdowns are easier to manage than intraday trailing. Elite Trader Funding's 1-Step uses a trailing drawdown; Traders Launch and Alpha Futures use end of day.
  • Minimum days: they range from 1 day at My Funded Futures Builder to 5 days at Elite Trader Funding and FXIFY.
  • Consistency rules: Traders Launch caps your best day at 40% of profits during the evaluation, and Alpha Futures uses 50% on Standard.
  • What you get after: most of these funded accounts are simulated, so read how each firm moves traders to live capital.

Running Your Platform for a One-Step Evaluation

A single phase means one breach ends the attempt, so a dropped connection mid-trade costs more. A trading VPS keeps NinjaTrader or another platform running if your home internet or power fails. QuantVPS's Chicago location is 0.52ms to CME.

FAQs

What is a one-step prop firm?

A one-step prop firm lets you qualify for a funded account by passing a single evaluation phase with one profit target. Take Profit Trader calls itself "a ONE Step, No Nonsense Funding Company" (checked on 31 Oct 2026).

Is a 1 phase prop firm the same as instant funding?

No. A 1 phase prop firm still makes you pass an evaluation; instant funding skips it. Elite Trader Funding says its 1-Step plan is "a single evaluation phase, but you are not funded right away."

Which one-step prop firm has the shortest minimum?

Of the firms on this list, My Funded Futures Builder has the shortest stated minimum: "Builder evaluations have a one-day minimum" (checked on 31 Oct 2026). A short minimum does not make the profit target easier to reach.

Are one-step evaluations easier than two-step?

They are shorter, because there is only one target to hit. They are not automatically easier: the single phase can still carry a trailing drawdown, a consistency rule or a minimum number of days.

Do futures prop firms use one-step evaluations?

Seven of the eight firms on this list are futures firms with a single-phase evaluation: Take Profit Trader, Elite Trader Funding, Alpha Futures, Blue Guardian Futures, Traders Launch, My Funded Futures and The Futures Desk.
