MetaTrader 4
Run MetaTrader 4 charts, MQL4 Expert Advisors, and terminal tools on your Windows VPS. Use an MT4-compatible broker account; MT5 accounts and MQL5 EAs are not interchangeable with MT4.
Place compatible EAs in MQL4/Experts, restore their .set files and chart templates, and review AutoTrading and live-trading permissions. Only enable DLL imports for trusted tools with compatible dependencies and licenses.
Use distinct terminal folders and clearly named shortcuts for each broker account. Check the assigned server, EA magic numbers, and any trade-copier mappings; avoid running the same live strategy twice.
