What Detect+ watches. Your platform, your connections and the VPS itself.

A monitoring agent on your VPS sends a report every 5 minutes, and our servers check Remote Desktop from outside. Your dashboard shows it all, with its history. Our 24/7 NOC watches the infrastructure behind your VPS.

Your platform and data feed, up or down.

Detect+ picks out NinjaTrader 8, Quantower, MetaTrader 4 and 5, TradeStation, Sierra Chart, cTrader, R | Trader Pro, Bookmap, MotiveWave, MultiCharts, ATAS and TradingView desktop. For each one running, it records CPU, memory, start time and open network connections. When Windows reports that a platform crashed, the Trading platform crash alert emails you.

Latency to your broker and data feed.

Your VPS checks each trading server with a DNS lookup, a ping and a connection test, and checks the servers your platform is connected to right now. The Network tab shows which answer, their latency and packet loss, one trading session at a time.

Remote Desktop, checked from outside.

Each minute, each of our regions tries your Remote Desktop port. See its uptime for the last 24 hours and the last 7, 30 and 90 days.

Restarts, with their cause.

Each restart is logged with what caused it, such as an update, a crash, a blue screen, a power loss or a host restart. The Restart alert can email you about the unexpected ones only.

Windows Update on your terms.

On a Windows VPS, see whether it is Trader-safe: Windows tells you about updates but never downloads, installs or restarts on its own. Switch to Trader-safe in one click, install updates when you choose and schedule the restart.

Sign-ins and security.

Bots scan port 3389, the Windows default, much more than a random high port. Move Remote Desktop to a random high port from your dashboard. If our servers cannot reach it within 10 minutes, the VPS goes back to the old one. Failed and successful sign-ins show with their addresses, and you can still block one.

The VPS itself.

It charts CPU and CPU steal, memory, disk latency and free space on drive C:, from the last half hour to the last 60 days. It also shows the VPS clock’s offset, which can skew order timestamps.

Alerts

How you’re alerted. One email when a problem starts, and every alert in your dashboard.

Each alert stays off until you turn it on. Choose its setting, then press Save.

Channels

Alerts by email, in the dashboard, and in Telegram, Slack and similar apps. Each email names the VPS, says what happened and when, and links to your dashboard. Emails go to the email on your account, at most 30 a day for each VPS.

Alert history

Settings › Past alerts lists your alerts of the last 90 days. Each row shows when, which alert, what happened, whether it is ongoing or over, and whether it was emailed. Alerts past the daily email limit still show there.

VPS connection

Fires when your VPS stays unable to reach the internet while it still sends its reports. Set it to watch the VPS and trading servers to hear when it cannot reach your brokers or data feeds too. A VPS that is off or fully offline sends no reports, so it gets no alert.

Restart

Fires when Windows restarts. Choose unexpected restarts only (a crash, blue screen, power loss or host restart), add automatic ones such as updates, or every restart. The email says what happened, for example that Windows stopped with a blue screen.

Trading platform crash

Fires when Windows reports that a trading platform crashed and, if you choose, when it stopped responding. A platform you close yourself does not alert. The email names the program, for example NinjaTrader.exe.

High CPU

Fires when CPU use stays above the limit you choose: 80, 90 or 95%. Its status turns from Ongoing to Over once CPU drops back below it.

High memory

Fires when memory in use stays above the limit you choose: 85, 90 or 95%. Its status turns to Over once memory drops back below it.

Low disk space

Fires when free space on drive C: falls below the limit you choose: 5, 10 or 20 GB. Once you free up enough space, its status turns to Over.

Install

Install with one link. Detect+ opens after the first report.

New Windows VPSs install Detect+ when they first start. On an older VPS, the Detect+ tab shows how to install it, on Windows or Ubuntu, and opens Detect+ after the first report.

On a Windows VPS

Open the Detect+ tab in your dashboard and copy your install link.

  1. On your computer, connect to your VPS with Remote Desktop. The password is on the Control Panel.

  2. On your VPS, open the web browser, paste the link and press Enter.

  3. Then, follow the page. It shows you each click.

On an Ubuntu VPS

Copy one install command instead. Connect over SSH, paste it and press Enter. The last line says “QuantVPS agent … installed and running”.

Detect+Beta

Free on every plan during the beta.

Install Detect+ on your VPS

Know when your platform or data feed stops. Copy one link, paste it on your VPS, and the Detect+ tab fills in by itself.

Get your install link

Your dashboard makes a link for each of your VPSs. A link works for 14 days.

Waiting for the first report. Detect+ opens about 5 minutes after the install.

What it records, and what it never sees. Support sees the data only after you allow it.

These are the words you read before you share with support. A share ends when its ticket closes, or at once with Stop sharing.

What Detect+ records

Running programs and their file paths, network connections and latency, CPU, memory and disk history, and Windows event logs (crashes, restarts, Remote Desktop sign-ins and account changes).

What it never sees

Your files (apart from the platform log lines you allow), your screen, your passwords or what you type.

Permission

Support cannot open your Detect+ data until you allow it. When support asks on a ticket, allow it from the banner in your dashboard, and access ends when that ticket closes. Or share it until you stop, and end it at once with Stop sharing.

What support sees

With access, support sees the same Detect+ data you see, so it can find the cause of a problem faster. Support never sees your files, your screen, your passwords or what you type. If you turn on platform log access, support also sees the connection lines Detect+ keeps from your trading platforms’ logs.

Support’s AI reply assistant

It drafts replies for support staff. When support asks it for a draft on a ticket that needs diagnostics, it reads a 24-hour summary of your shared data. It does not watch your VPS or send alerts.

Detect+ FAQ.

QuantVPS Detect+ is in beta and free on every plan during the beta. It monitors NinjaTrader 8 and other trading platforms, and data feed and broker connections (for example Rithmic, CQG, Tradovate and IBKR), and alerts by email, in the dashboard, and in Telegram, Slack and similar apps.

QuantVPS Detect+ (beta, free on every plan) watches NinjaTrader 8 and other trading platforms and your data feed connections, and alerts you by email, in the dashboard, or in Telegram or Slack.

Nothing during the beta. Free on every plan during the beta. Your plan’s price does not change. You get the QuantVPS Detect+ section with all six tabs, all six alerts, Detect+ Sharing and the snapshot.

New Windows VPSs install Detect+ when they first start. On an older VPS, the Detect+ tab shows how to install it, on Windows or Ubuntu, and opens Detect+ after the first report. On Windows you copy one link and paste it in the VPS’s web browser. On Ubuntu you paste one command in your SSH terminal. Detect+ opens about 5 minutes after the install.

Your VPS checks NinjaTrader, Tradovate, CQG, Rithmic, Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, DAS Trader, TopstepX, Kalshi, Polymarket, cTrader, MetaTrader, TradeStation, Databento, Binance, Bybit (nearby edge) and Coinbase, and the servers your platform is connected to right now, such as your broker’s MetaTrader server. Each check is a DNS lookup, a ping and a connection test. The Network tab shows which answer, their latency and packet loss.

Detect+ logs every restart with its cause, for example Windows Update, a crash, a blue screen, a power loss or a host restart. Turn on the Restart alert to get an email: choose unexpected restarts only, add automatic ones such as updates, or every restart.

Yes. In Settings › Windows Update, switch to Trader-safe in one click: Windows tells you about updates but never downloads, installs or restarts on its own. Then install updates when you choose and schedule the restart.

No. Detect+ never sees your files (apart from the platform log lines you allow), your screen, your passwords or what you type. It records running programs and their file paths, network connections and latency, CPU, memory and disk history, and Windows event logs (crashes, restarts, Remote Desktop sign-ins and account changes).

Only after you allow it. Support cannot open your Detect+ data until you allow it. When support asks on a ticket, allow it from the banner in your dashboard, and access ends when that ticket closes. Or share it until you stop, and end it at once with Stop sharing.

The agent sends a report every 5 minutes. Each report shows as a short rise in your VPS’s CPU chart. On Ubuntu the agent runs at low priority, with at most 256 MB of memory, so your programs come first.

A VPS that is off or fully offline sends no reports, so the VPS connection alert does not fire. Our servers still try its Remote Desktop port each minute, and Detect+ shows the minutes without an answer.

Resellers see the same section on each active server in the reseller portal, with the same Windows Update controls, blocked addresses and alerts. Alerts for those servers go to the reseller.
